Our design reflects the celestial cluster of Matariki, symbolising new beginnings, whakapapa, and the guiding light of our ancestors. 

Among the woven symbols of our Tatau Pounamu Blanket, you’ll find the hei tiki, a powerful form of ancestral connection and protection in te ao Māori. Often worn as a taonga, the hei tiki represents whakapapa, wisdom, and fertility. By including it in this design, we honour the generations who came before and those yet to arrive.
